Founder’s Profile

Dr. Surendra Verenkar, An occupational Health Physician with a work experience of more than 30 years. He began his career as a Medical Officer in Medical and Cardiac emergencies in Mumbai Municipal Hospital. He then worked as a Medic aboard Offshore installations for Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).

Now he has a thriving General Practice and an Occupational health centre that caters to the needs of industry workers, especially the seafarers. He has a team that conducts training programmes on Occupational Health, Lifestyle Diseases and Ergonomics.

He is approved by The Directorate General Shipping, Government of India, the Directorate General,  Factory Advice Services and Labour Institute (DGFASLI), Ministry of Labour, Government of India and The Oil & Gas United Kingdom (OGUK). He is approved by the Inspectorate of Factories and Boilers, Govt. of Goa , India, as a Factory Medical Officer. 

He has special interest in Diabetes and has received training in management of Diabetes and Diabetic Retinopathy through the Public Health Foundation of India. He has successfully passed the Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Auditor/Lead Auditor Training Course (BS OHSAS 18001:2007) through British Standard Institution.

He is a Life member of The Indian Medical Association, The Association of Occupational Health Physicians of India and the General Practitioners Association of Goa, India. He is a friendly, astute clinician who believes in rendering quality services, continuous improvement and being up to date in knowledge and skills.
